About Impact Factor for Journal – Founded by Dr. Bhagat

Founded & Curated by Dr. Bhagat
Impact Factor for Journal is an independent, research-led academic reference resource founded and personally curated by Dr. Bhagat—a practicing scientist, peer reviewer, and former postdoctoral fellow with over a decade of active experience in the global academic publishing ecosystem.

Since our founding in 2020, we have helped hundreds of thousands of researchers, PhD scholars, graduate students, and librarians worldwide navigate the complex landscape of journal metrics—from Impact Factors and quartile rankings to acceptance rates and open-access APCs.

Why Dr. Bhagat? The Credentials Behind the Data
This site is not run by anonymous content writers. Every metric published here is researched, cross-verified, and contextualized by Dr. Bhagat, whose academic credentials include:

  • Over 2,100 citations with an H-index of 18 (Google Scholar).
  • Active peer reviewer for 15+ leading international journals, including Journal of Hazardous MaterialsChemosphereScience of the Total Environment, and Environmental Science and Pollution Research.
  • Former JSPS (Japan) and SERB (India) Postdoctoral Fellow, having secured competitive international research grants exceeding ₹1.3 Crore (~$150,000 USD).
  • Visiting research collaborations with top-tier institutions in Japan, Germany, and Canada.

A Note on Editorial Independence & Privacy
To maintain complete editorial independence and avoid any potential conflicts of interest with specific publishers, Dr. Bhagat chooses to keep a low personal online profile. This ensures that all journal assessments on this site remain strictly objective, unbiased, and focused entirely on what benefits the researcher—not the publisher.

What We Cover
We provide reliable, regularly updated information on more than 22,000 journals indexed in the Web of Science Core Collection (SCIE, SSCI, AHCI, and ESCI), including:

  • Journal Impact Factors (JIF) – sourced directly from the annual Clarivate Journal Citation Reports (JCR) release each June. We update our data within days of every new release.
  • JCR Quartile Rankings (Q1–Q4) – category-level rankings that show where a journal stands within its specific subject area.
  • Scopus Indexed Journals – complete lists of journals indexed in Elsevier’s Scopus database, including CiteScore and SJR where available.
  • UGC-CARE Listed Journals – the approved journal list maintained by India’s University Grants Commission, updated per the latest announcements.
  • Acceptance Rates & APCs – typical acceptance percentages and Article Processing Charges for open-access journals, so you know the costs and competition before you submit.

How We Source Our Data (Dr. Bhagat’s Verification Protocol)
All impact factor data published on this website is sourced exclusively from Clarivate’s Journal Citation Reports (JCR). We do not fabricate, estimate, or project impact factor values. Where we list acceptance rates, CiteScore, or SJR values, we source these directly from Elsevier Scopus, SCImago Journal Rankings, and official journal publisher pages.

Every individual journal page is personally reviewed by Dr. Bhagat using a strict scientific methodology:

  1. Primary data pulled from Clarivate JCR and Scopus.
  2. Cross-verified against the journal’s official publisher website.
  3. Contextualized with acceptance rates and review timelines to provide actionable submission intelligence.

We update our data as soon as new releases become available—typically within 30 days of each annual JCR release.

Editorial Policy
Every article on this website is written and reviewed by Dr. Bhagat before publication. We do not accept paid placement in our journal rankings or lists. Our rankings reflect only official Clarivate JCR data—publishers cannot pay to improve their journal’s standing on this site.

If you find an error in any of our data, please contact us immediately. Accuracy is our absolute top priority.
